If you know Rachel Joy Hill, you know all about her family, her faith, and her affinity for cookouts, kickbacks, and belly laughs. As a wife and mother, she naturally holds a PhD in multi-tasking and is still honing her creative process as a writer, intellectual, and entrepreneur. As a veteran educator, Rachel has inspired thousands of students to stretch beyond their comfort zones to seek their power, passions, and place in the world. While she has motivated her students, she has been equally as motivated by them in her own life journey.

 

Over the past 6 years, Rachel has launched The Joy Experience as a way to create space for all who enjoy good times, but may need help with the logistics and implementation. She believes that every good time can reach new heights as long as she is involved. As a naturally organized person and masterful educator, Rachel has a strong capacity for creating systems and implementing operations that range in complexity. Rachel has planned and organized luncheons, parties, baby showers, vacations, conferences, date nights, talent shows, film shoots, and basketball tournaments. 

 

In this season of Rachel’s life, she has written, produced, and co-directed a television screenplay called Miss Education which chronicles the life of a 20-something year old Black woman and her life as a new college graduate, adult, educator, and hopeless romantic. Rachel never would have imagined putting her English degree to use beyond the classroom, but she has welcomed the challenge as a writer. She aspires to invite the world to The Joy Experience that is Miss Education in the form of belly laughs and “Oh no she didn’t’s.”

When Rachel is not working, she is enjoying time with family and friends, watching binge-worthy TV, writing, reading, creating spreadsheets (just because), cooking Blue Apron meals, organizing and directing film shoots, and strategizing her next ideas to make her dreams come true.
